Hi kids, have you ever seen this movie? It’s been 14 years old and it’s still awesome.
Based on William Steig’s 1990 children’s book, the first Shrek is released by Dreamworks animators as a subversive twist on the classic Beauty and the Beast story. Here’s a plot summary on IMDB:
When a green ogre named Shrek discovers his swamp has been ‘swamped’ with all sorts of fairytale creatures by the scheming Lord Farquaad, Shrek sets out with a very loud donkey by his side to ‘persuade’ Farquaad to give Shrek his swamp back. Instead, a deal is made. Farquaad, who wants to become the King, sends Shrek to rescue Princess Fiona, who is awaiting her true love in a tower guarded by a fire-breathing dragon. But once they head back with Fiona, it starts to become apparent that not only does Shrek, an ugly ogre, begin to fall in love with the lovely princess, but Fiona is also hiding a huge secret.

For Kila, Shrek is one of the best movies because it has lots of comedy. The comedy in this movie made me fall off my seat laughing at it. The story in this one is really good. I also love the voice choice like Mike Myers as Shrek, Cameron Diaz as princess, and Eddie Murphy as donkey. If you haven’t seen this movie yet, please ask your parents to get it for you. I’m sure it’s really good and worth for your watching.
